I love the fall! It gets colder, there's wonderful smells in the air from baking and, or course, lots of pumpkins! This little pumpkin is so easy to make--and it makes a fabulous embellishment for any card or scrapbook page. Just simply punch out three ovals or circles, sponge the edges with brown or black and adhere them together with one in the center on the top. Make some today--decorate for fall with pumpkins!
There is nothing more fun than playing with a new stamp set! Each time I get a new one, I realize that the possibilities with it are literally endless! When it came to creating some fall birthday cards, I knew that my new Day of Gratitude stamp set from Stampin' Up! would be the perfect set! But I was torn as to how to make the cards. So, I made 2 different ones! They are shown above. Which is your favorite? Go and take some time out of your day to create something new today--you know you'll love it! And while your at it, make 2 things!!!
It's Halloween time! Time for the candy hoarding to begin! I wanted to share a little treat in a cute way with those I work with, and this is what I came up with! These sour cream containers are so quick and easy to make and they create a big wow factor when you give them away. Below are directions on how to make them with pictures borrowed from www.splitcoaststampers.com. Take some time today to make a treat for a loved one--it's fun and a great way to show you care!
- 4" x 6" piece of lightweight cardstock or patterned paper
- Sticky Strip™
- Paper Crimper
Apply Sticky Strip™ to one of the short sides of the reverse side of the 4" x 6" piece of patterned paper.
Apply another strip from the end of the long side until half way in.
Apply the last piece in the middle of the other long side of the paper.
Remove the plastic liner from the Sticky Strip™, but make sure to leave the backing on the Sticky Strip™ that is in the middle of one of the long sides.
Adhere the short ends of the paper together to form a cylinder.
Press the two sides with the Sticky Strip™ exposed together.
To reinforce the adhesive, slide the taped end into your paper crimper and slowly add two or three crimped lines.
Fill container with a small treat.
Remove the liner from the remaining Sticky Strip™, then push the sides together in the opposite direction from the other end.
When looking at the container from the top, the two ends will form a +.
Crimp this edge of the container.
Decorate the container.

If you EVER need to borrow a punch, give me a call! They make paper crafting so incredibly simple and do-able! And go use YOUR punches today! Happy stamping!!!

So, I wanted to create a simple and beautiful fall project that could be useful to give to a few friends. SOLUTION?! Make a magnet! These little cuties are totally easy to make! I bought the glass squares at a local beading store, but I'm sure you could find them elsewhere. They measure 1 7/8" x 1 7/8". I cut the paper into 1 3/4" square. I then foam brushed white glue onto the back and adhered the paper with the side I wanted showing placed face down. After that, I turned the square over, placed a sticker on the front and foam brushed on a VERY thin layer of white glue over it. The last step is placing a magnet on the back. How easy is that?! You COULD use Modpodge if you wanted, but I've found that white glue works just as well and is cheaper. I hope you get the chance to make some magnets soon! Happy crafting to you!
